Dave was one of those guys that could remember anyone he met. I would ask him about a coop in a different state and he would know several people from each one. Every time I would see him I’d say “there’s good ol whip” and he’d just have a big smile. He was a great guy and he will be missed.

I have so many wonderful memories of David. I spent many school breaks out on the farm. David was funny and kind. He put up with Greg and I and our shenanigans. He taught me how to drive and didn't even get upset when I drove the truck into a fence post. Him and Gabi were so generous and welcoming to anyone who showed up. A great person who will be missed by many. My heartfelt condolences to Gabi, Greg, Cody, and the whole Whipple family.

I remember my cousin David as a gentle soul. I think I was 10 years old and somehow I ended up on a tractor with David. I just remember that I had to share a seat with his pet pig. Don't get me wrong, I immediately loved the pig (though I wish I could remember its name). I was just not expecting to share a seat. But the pig was most gracious and sat on my lap so I had most of the seat. I really couldn't complain. This is one of my most favorite memories of visiting my Colorado cousins!
